About me

A beach landscape with a cloudy sky, a tree on a hill, and a shoreline at sunset, featuring an encouraging Bible verse from Psalms 63:8.

I have been a follower of Jesus for most of my life. Being rooted in him and his love is what’s most central to who I am and how I want to live. I believe that God has given us his word written down in the Bible, and that the Holy Spirit helps us know him and live in line with his good ways. This gives us great hope for change!

My journey has passed through some dark valleys, where I have needed others to help me process and move forward. There have been times when I have felt stuck and have needed encouragement and challenge from other wise Christians.

I have found biblical counselling really helpful for connecting what is most true about myself and about the Lord with the painful realities of living in a fallen world.

I have more than 10 years’ experience of church-based pastoral care, much of it alongside my pastor-theologian husband. I trained with Biblical Counselljng UK (BCUK) from 2020-23. This training is underpinned by a biblical understanding of how people change and grow and a conviction that God speaks into every area and experience of life. I now also work as a tutor for BCUK’s certificate course, and enjoy writing and training local churches in pastoral care and biblical counselling.

I completed a 2-year church-based internship with BCUK in 2025 and have done over 100 hours supervised biblical counselling conversations.

I am not a secular counsellor and am not accredited by a secular counselling body.

I live in a beautiful part of Wales with my husband and teenage son. When I am not working, you will often find me out walking or enjoying a good coffee.
